YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Standard rental 2 hours, for up to 6 people $399.
  • Check in and change at our exclusive Yacht Tub Club, which includes everything you need for your adventure ahead (changing rooms, lockers, lounge, restroom and YT swag).
  • Our crew will prepare the boat, fill with fresh water and set the tub to the perfect temperature.
  • You get to captain your own boat and explore the beautiful Willamette River, taking in sights of the Portland city skyline and discover “Bridgetown”. The joystick steering is easy to drive and we are happy to teach.
  • Guests must be 21+ to book & operate the boat. Children age 3+ are welcome, children 13 and under must wear a life jacket during rental.
  • We are open year-around. A Yacht Tub is always nice, no matter the weather. The boat includes a retractable bimini top for the rainier (or sunnier) days.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. Cancellations outside of 5 days prior to the rental start time can be refunded, however, within 5 days (120 hours), no refunds will be issued.
  • If you are booking within 48 hours of your start time, 100% will be due.
  • If Yacht Tubs chooses to cancel your reservation due to severe weather (lightening, high winds, fast current, ect.), we will gladly refund or rebook you for no fee.

RENTAL POLICIES

  • 1.The Boat shall be operated in a safe and lawful manner.
  • 2.The Boat shall only be operated by someone 21 years of age or older.
  • 3.The Boat shall not be operated by someone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • 4.Children under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket (PFD) while aboard the Boat.
  • 5.The Renter shall abide by the US Coast Guard maximum capacity label as posted aboard the Boat.
  • 6.The Renter shall not allow passengers on the boat that have not checked in with Yacht Tubs and signed the YT waiver.
  • 7.The Renter shall stay a minimum 150ft from shore, unless docking or in an emergency.
  • 8.The Renter shall stay within the distance and location limitations as designated by YT.
  • 9.The following items are prohibited:
  • a.Rafting, docking, or tying up to another boat; unless in an emergency.
  • b.Swimming, jumping, diving from the Boat while the boat is in motion.
  • c.Beaching or running the Boat aground, unless in an emergency.
  • d.Glass containers, bottles and/or cups.
  • e.Smoking, of any kind.
  • f.Oils and soaps.
  • g.Use of drugs.
  • 10.It is the responsibility of the Operator to know and abide by the Oregon State Marine Board’s Statewide and Local Regulations for boating, and to observe and obey all posted marine signs.
  • 11.The Operator acknowledges that they hold a Boating Education Card, Coast Guard Boat Operator License, or similar and/or completed a watercraft rental safety checklist provided by YT.
  • 12.In the event of severe weather (ex. lightening, high winds, etc..) the Renter shall return the Boat to the dock immediately.
  • 13.The Boat shall not be used for any illegal purpose.
  • 14.Renter shall immediately report any accident(s), injury(ies), malfunction(s), or breakdown(s) of the boat to YT staff via phone or in person.
  • 15.YT reserves the right to retake possession of the Boat and equipment at any time without demand, at Renter’s expense, if the Boat and/or equipment is used in violation of this agreement, any law or is apparently abandoned.
  • 16.Anyone operating the Boat must sign the YT Boat Rental Agreement.
  • 17.The Renter is fully responsible for any and all loss of or damage to the Boat, equipment or motor during rental.
  • 18.The Boat is expected to be returned at the end of the rental period. Late returns will be subject to a charge of $30 for every 5 minute increment or portion thereof.

Rental FAQs

  • The maximum Coast Guard capacity is 6 people , not to exceed 1050 lbs total weight.

  • Yes, we allow food and drinks. Please be mindful of food and drinks that could stain the boat decks. Glass containers are strictly prohibited. Like a car, it is also illegal to drink and drive a boat.

  • Yacht Tubs are powered by quiet electric motor and an easy side to side motion of a joystick steers the boat. A Yacht Tub's max speed is about 5 mph.

  • The standard rental is 2hrs. If you are planning a special event please contact us well in advance and we can see how to accommodate your request.

  • We regularly check and maintain the boats but also have a motorboat at the dock to assist our guests if required.

  • Yes, there is a bathroom & changing rooms located inside the Yacht Tub Club that our guests are welcome to use. We do not have showers on site.

  • The soaking tub water is set by our staff so it is perfect for the ambient temperature and can range from a 85 for extra hot summer days to 104 for the coldest winter nights.

  • No, we got you covered! Literally. The Yacht Tubs have removable bimini tops so only the part of you in the tub will get wet. However, sometimes extreme weather does make for a less than fun Yacht Tubbing experience. Yacht Tubs reserves the right to cancel within 2 hours for extreme weather (high winds, fast flowing river, lightning, snow/ice).

  • Yes! The boat has dry storage for your towels, shoes, cooler and snacks. There is enough room for about 2 bags. The hatch opening is about 18” wide. We also provide dry storage for phones on deck.

  • The minimum age to book & operate the boat is 21. Children ages 3 years and up are welcome to join. Children under 13 are required to wear their life jacket aboard. We do carry child sized life jackets for use. If the child is not potty trained they need to wear a swim diaper.

  • We either recommend bringing your own towel or we have plush towels to rent for $5 each. You can request a towel at check in.

  • Check-in is located at the Yacht Tub Club located on the Riverplace Promenade, 3 shops down from McCormick & Schmicks. After you check in, our staff will walk your party down to the dock, set you up, and help you disembark.

  • We provide secure lockers for our guests to use. There is also storage on the boat (but may not be 100% dry). A dry box is provided for your phones.

  • Absolutely! Before each rental the tub is cleaned with biodegradable soap and filled with fresh city water and is not treated with any pool chemicals like chlorine so each experience is fresh!

  • You can purchase gift certificates on our booking page by clicking “Book Now” then choose “Gift Certificate”. Yacht Tubs make great gifts for birthdays, wedding parties, promotions, holidays, or just for fun!
